Diversification: The saying that one should not put all his eggs in one basket also applies to stock trade or investment. It is safer and less risky for one to diversify his investment in stocks. Diversification of stocks means spreading your purchase across many companies rather than one or a few.

Shares of two reputable companies which I bought last year have continued to fall since last year. This would have been a big lost to me if I had never given the idea of diversification a second taught. To make money on the stock market is some times hard. When a company runs loss at the end of the financial year, the investor will also run his or her own loss. There is now way we can avoid taking risk in life. The only thing we can do is to reduce the risk. Diversification in the stock market investment is one way to minimize the risk of colossal loss in the stock market.

The stock market is for everybody, both rich and the poor. It is the cheapest business on earth one can think of starting of with any capital, no matter how small it may be.
